His work, though unfortunately not always his name, is repeated in a great deal of work concerned with understanding Irish Traditional Music -- and music within the same genre. The discussions in this text reflect the fact that he was a uilleann piper, and that he had been playing the music for decades with older traditional musicians. This is a great work if you are interested in a deeper understanding of the music. It is not for the "kiss me I'm Irish" crowd. The CD offers aural illustrations some of the main ideas that Breathnach is asserting. All in all, it a great work.
