Each night before bed we used to have to strugle to sit down for a story. Until a freind gave my wife the book "I had a rooster",it combine music in which they can sing to, with a story that they can understand, as well as extrodinary pictures that they enjoy looking at.
The other day one of my boys, sam was home sick. My wife called me at the office to tell me that Sam had actully ask her to read "I had a rooster to him" to him. "I had a rooster" is a great story that all kids should be able to enjoy. It a great gift Idea! I am Thankful, that Seeger produced this book, storytelling and reading are so fundemantal for children being able to learn. I hope thanks to "I had a rooster" Sam and Matthew will be able to learn the joys of reading.
