My conclusion after playing Close Caper! is that the fast pace, constant hand moves, and articulations place the level of difficulty more at the intermediate level.
I found the music lacking imagination and creativity, and thought that the cover drawing was more interesting than the music. That being said, another teacher might disagree--what it all comes down to is this: the right piece for the right student at the right time. If it works--then it's a success.
