(More customer reviews)This book contains the 20 Simple Etudes from Leo Brouwer. I'm working through these now with my instructor. The music is in clear,large enough font to read without strain (as you get older, this becomes important). The book itself is bound nicely. However, there is a change from original edition.
The original music contained the amount of time each piece should take. This information was left off of this newer addition. I only know this because my teacher has the original edition and I was using copies of his until I saw this was released. I don't know why the publisher made this decision. If nothing else, it gives the student an idea of what the composer was thinking at the time of writing; and teaches how to figure BPM based on the time it should take. It would be nice to see this added back into this copy. Because of this, I am taking away one star.
Else, no complaints. Despite the time removal issue, I would absolutely recommend buying this addition of Brouwer's Etudes. And if publisher decides to re-release WITH the times added back in, I will add in the one star.
