The original song, accompanied by the music and lyrics, is printed on the end pages. The song is simple (three chords) and lively. This book can make learning history though song a lot of fun! The illustrations are very appealing. Under the author's note in the back he gives more biographical information. If you would care to make Mary Todd Lincoln's Vanilla Almond Cake the recipe is on the back cover. Yum!
