(More customer reviews)This book is absolutely beautiful. I haven't put it on my shelf for the pure reason that it looks so good sitting on my coffee table. Elliott Carter's String Quartets are some of the preeminent quartets of the 20th Century, and this book is an excellent collection of them. The engravings are top notch and the book even includes program notes for each quartet by Carter. Absolutely worth the price of the book in every way. Please note that this is a study score, and these are not performable copies of the quartets, but a must-have for composers, musicologists, or any modern music enthusiast.
