(More customer reviews)I bought this book 2 days ago for my 2 year old daughter and she loves it! I note the reccommended age says 4 - 8 year olds, (although it doesn't actually say so on the book itself). I bought it after flipping through it in the store when i noticed that there were only a few words per page and the whole thing reads like a rhyme - perfect for my 2 year old. She loves doing the actions with me as I read along, and is already starting to anticipate (with glee), the endings to some of the sentences. The book has lovely illustrations and some collage - eg. there is an actual mirror on one of the pages. Along the side of the page are also illustrations of kids doing the actions to the words eg. rat-a-tat-tat and one knocks one's fists together- so the actions are the same whether Daddy or Mummy is reading the book.
A very good buy.

Young children will love Miss Polly had a Dolly. It is great fun following the rhyme and doing all the actions alongside Miss Polly. Read the rhyme together and touch the different textures. Then encourage your child to do the actions shown in the pictures.
